Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from September 15-October 15. This special event acknowledges the history, culture, and contributions of Americans whose ancestry can be traced to Latin American countries including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. It is also a celebration of the independence of many Latin American countries such as: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, Chile and Mexico.
At Children's Museum Houston, Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to learn about the achievements of Hispanic people, as well as celebrate their culture through activities, and live performances.
