About the Event

Join us as we support the Museum’s mission to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences for Houston’s children. This year, we’re excited to welcome Dr. Amy Shah, author of I'm So Effing Tired: A Proven Plan to Beat Burnout, Boost Your Energy, and Reclaim Your Life, as our keynote speaker. Dr. Shah, a renowned integrative medicine doctor, will share insights from her book and research on overcoming burnout, fatigue, and stress—important topics for parents and families in today’s fast-paced world.

Luncheon proceeds will help fund the Museum’s early childhood and parenting programs, which are dedicated to building parenting skills, offering valuable information on child development, and helping families connect through the joy of learning together.

Luncheon Co-Chairs: Devorah Krieger and Ashley Sloan

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Amy Shah

Dr. Amy Shah is a leading expert in integrative medicine, nutrition, and wellness. With a background in both conventional and alternative medicine, she has spent years helping individuals reclaim their energy and well-being through science-backed strategies. Dr. Shah’s practical approach combines the latest research in sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness to address the root causes of chronic tiredness and burnout.

Dr. Shah is also a popular speaker and media contributor, having appeared on major networks like CBS and FOX, and her writing has been featured in The New York Times, Well + Good, and MindBodyGreen. She is a sought-after expert on topics of self-care, mental health, and sustainable living. Her book, I'm So Effing Tired, has been praised for its accessible, no-nonsense advice on how to thrive despite the pressures of modern life.

Dr. Shah’s keynote will offer invaluable tips on how parents and caregivers can manage their own well-being while raising resilient, confident children. Her insights on reducing stress, prioritizing sleep, and nourishing the body for optimal energy will empower parents to create a balanced, fulfilling life that benefits the entire family
