Tiffany Heng Hui Lee (Artist)

As an Asian American visual artist, Tiffany Heng Hui Lee creates abstract landscape collages inspired by the five elements—water, wood, fire, earth, and metal—rooted in ancestral traditions. Her work promotes a deep connection to culture identity, nature and advocates for the preservation of natural landscapes.

Lee is passionate about introducing children/teachers to East Asian culture using art techniques, enriching their understanding of Asian culture while fostering environmental awareness. Art is a powerful storytelling tool that brings people together.

Recently, Lee held an exhibition at Beeville Art Museum- “Stronger Together”, engaging K-12 students on school-sponsored field trips. The event highlighted environmental protection while offering insight into Asian culture, inspiring students to take action against climate change. In 2024, She also presented an exhibition, workshop, and gallery tour at Lone Star College- “Elements”, where students found the artwork both informative and engaging.

Justin Larson (Teacher)

Justin Larson is currently an art educator in Houston ISD and has a background in international instruction. Before relocating to Houston, he spent eight years in China teaching English and fine arts at all levels while traveling extensively to explore global art and cultural landmarks.

In Houston he has collaborated with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston for its annual TAG Show and is actively involved in fostering arts education for his students through partnerships with the community. He looks forward to bringing a diverse artistic perspective to the EastArts residency program.
