Kim Le (Artist)

Kim Le, A.K.A Komie, is a Houston-based artist and 90's kid. As a second generation Vietnamese-American, she expresses the duality of her cultural roots and upbringing through cluttered compositions and food. She works primarily through ceramics incorporating other mixed media to reflect consumption. Her first experience with clay started in high school where she eventually graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, concentration in ceramics. Her instagram is @komiesknickknacks

Mary Amaku (Teacher)

A Nigerian-American educator, designer, and artist with a passion for communicating the expansive world of art and design through compelling narratives. I've always been interested in blending cultural influences to create works that resonate on a universal level, and with every lesson, I aim to not only captivate and inform my students but also engage them in a fun, nostalgic childlike way. As a lifelong learner and advocate for growth, I thrive on exploring new artistic avenues and embracing challenges that allow me to evolve. Growing on you? Follow me @mkenchia on Instagram!
