Para Los Niños Fun*Shops take place offsite as part of our outreach programs.

Immerse yourself in interactive story-reading modeling sessions that illuminate the magic of storytelling and its profound impact on early literacy development. Explore a curated selection of learning activities tailored to each workshop's theme, designed to spark curiosity and ignite a love for learning in your child. With 11-themed workshops to choose from, embark on a journey of discovery and empowerment, as we pave the way for a brighter future through the power of parental engagement and lifelong learning.

Each session is meticulously crafted to equip parents with invaluable resources, effective strategies, and engaging activities aimed at enhancing family literacy and learning practices.

July 2025 Para Los Ninos Fun*Shops

Raise a Reader: Explore the magic of storytelling as we delve into techniques to captivate young minds and foster a lifelong love for reading. Unlock the secrets to nurturing your child's literacy journey and empower yourself to become their ultimate guide and storyteller.

When: July 9 at 4:30 pm at Freed Montrose Library

Math Rules: In science and engineering, math is a fundamental tool for gathering information and data to understand patterns and relationships. This workshop will help families understand that "data" is everywhere and gathered each time they count, group, or compare.

When: July 15 at 4 pm at Express Southwest Library

Taking Time, Taking Turns: A family-focused workshop that encourages patience, sharing, and meaningful connection. Through fun, interactive activities, families will learn how to slow down, take turns, and truly enjoy quality time together!

When: July 17 at 4:30 pm at BakerRipley Pasadena

Show What You Know: Scientists and engineers use a range of tools to understand the data they gather during investigations. This workshop encourages families to use counting, tables, graphs, and other forms of data collection to make meaning from their investigations.

When: Aug. 19 at 4 pm at Express Southwest Library

Loving Limits: Here we will guide participants on nurturing connections and having mutual respect within the family. In this workshop, participants will learn how to set firm but loving boundaries that foster emotional security and cooperation.
