Have you seen the kids show FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman on PBS/Channel 8? Stop by Science Station to try some fun FETCH! Activities.
• Canine House of Cards – Can you build a new house for Ruff using just one shape? Use index cards to build a two-story structure using just one shape – a triangle, a square or an arch – and determine which shape is the strongest.
• Toy Chemistry – Play with ooey gooey slime and pliable putty as you experiment with polymers and learn about the science of slime.
• Crazy About Kites – Can you fly a kite indoors? Build an indoor kite like no kite you have ever seen before and watch it fly!
• Under Pressure – How strong is a sheet of paper? Try to use one sheet of paper to hold up a large, heavy book for 10 seconds. Visitors can try a variety of paper shapes to create a strong enough structure to hold the weight of the book.
